The bed’s unique heating system uses dual thermostats to pamper your pet with cushy comfort that acts by complimenting your pet’s normal body temperature. The K&H Ortho-Thermo-Bed was designed to contain a heating element smaller in size compared to the size of the bed because it is only necessary to heat the core of the animal. As a result, this bed uses a low wattage heater that will help to keep your energy bill under control without sacrificing the comfort of your pet.

You may notice that when the bed is not in use it may not feel warm to the touch, when if fact, the surface of the bed actually remains at an even 12-15 degrees above ambient temperature. As soon as your pet lies down on the bed, it begins to warm to the animal’s normal body temperature range making for one happy hound.

Can Be Used Year-Round

This bed is easy to care for with a removable cover for washing. It’s a perfect comfy solution for both dogs and cats of any size and is available in three sizes and two colors, Fleece and Chocolate. While this bed is perfect for cold months, many pets are chilly in the summer air conditioning and love this bed to keep them warm. But, even if you don’t use air conditioning, most pets love the feel of this bed, so all you need to do is remove or unplug the heater for use during warmer months.
